How to crop photos

For best results you'll want to take advantage of our built in cropping tool.  Cropping lets you cut your photo down to size and display only the parts you want. Whether you want to focus on specific elements, eliminate a nonessential part, or make the image work better in your chosen space, cropping gets the job done.

To crop a photo:

    1. Make sure you are in Step 2 of the Design Wizard.
    2. If you haven't already, drag and drop your desired photo onto one of the designated photo areas of your brochure. See more info here.
    3. Click on the photo to launch the cropping tool.
    4. Adjust the size and location of the crop box.

To adjust the size of the crop box:

Point your mouse cursor to the edge of the crop box, which is denoted by a dotted line. You'll see the cursor turn into an arrow. While holding down the mouse button, move your mouse left, right, up, or down to adjust the size of the crop box.  You can release the mouse button when you are satisfied with the size of the box. You can repeat these steps if you aren't satisfied.  The shaded area outside of the box will be eliminated from the photo when you save your changes in the next step.

To adjust the location of the crop box:

Move your cursor to the inside of the crop box until you see a four-way cursor. While holding down the mouse button, move your mouse in any direction to move the crop box.  You can release the mouse button when you are satisfied with the location of the crop box.

     5. After making changes, you can apply your crop to your brochure by clicking on Save Changes
Click Reset Crop if you wish to reset the crop box and continue working on your changes.
Click Close/Cancel if you wish to exit the crop tool and abandon your work.
